My “Yes” People

I think we are fortunate to have people in our lives who are our “yes” people. The no questions asked, no explanation needed, get in the car without a destination kind of people. They are down for any adventure or experience, any day, any time. For me, those people are Tracie and Jordan.

I posted these minis as my first round of mini sessions in the new town I live in. I was nervous. I didn’t know if they’d book and to be honest building new clientele can feel incredibly vulnerable. But, like most things in life, I jumped in with both feet and wanted to give it my best shot. So, I opened the books and I waited.

A few days into the minis being posted I received a text from Tracie expressing interest in a session. Since they are from my hometown, I immediately started throwing dates around that I’d be back in the area. That’s when Tracie did what Tracie does and asked about the minis. I shared the date, time and location... automatically expressing understanding of them not being a good fit due location. Without skipping a beat Tracie confirmed interest in the minis… two hours away. I asked if she was sure and without skipping a beat she said “yes”.

They drove two hours to come hangout with me at the park on a Saturday afternoon. We laughed, we reminisced, I was caught up to speed on all the small-town happenings. Most importantly, my “yes” people made my first minis feel like home.
