Heiss Family Session at Heritage Park

I’ve had the privilege of photographing the Heiss family since 2018, when we first celebrated Whitney and Tyler’s engagement. From that very first session, I could tell they were a family that loved each other with their whole hearts, and it’s been such a joy to watch them grow through each milestone. Now, several years later, they are not only happily married but have also welcomed three beautiful children into their world: Miss Peyton, their oldest daughter, and their lively twins, Presley and Tristan.

What I adore about the Heiss family is how fiercely they love each other. Whether it’s a sweet embrace between Whitney and Tyler or a tender moment shared with their little ones, it’s clear that family comes first. As with any family session, there are always those moments where the “big little feelings” come into play. You know those times when the kiddos need a break or feel a little overwhelmed by the camera. But every time, without fail, I watch as Whitney and Tyler pause everything, get down on their kids’ level, and offer a comforting embrace or a few calming words. It’s these moments of connection, of true love and patience, that make every photo session with this family feels so real and heartwarming.

Whitney and Tyler, you two are doing an incredible job as parents. Watching you both navigate the beautiful chaos of raising young children with such grace and love has been nothing short of inspiring, especially as I enter this season as a first time mom. I’m incredibly grateful to not only be your photographer but more importantly, to call you both my friends. I can’t wait to continue capturing your family’s journey and the many more memories you’ll create together.
