Brubaker Family Session in Comer

One of my favorite things about this little business of mine is the way it connects me to the kindest, most down-to-earth families. This sweet Madison County crew was no exception! The Brubakers were referred to me by the Morris family, and I am endlessly thankful! I had a feeling we’d hit it off, and my instincts did not steer me wrong, they truly are the kindest bunch. However, what made this session extra special is that our paths had crossed before through my full-time role at the Madison County Chamber of Commerce. As proud Chamber Champions, this family is deeply rooted in the community and getting to photograph them and to have that more intentional interaction outside of my 9-5 was truly such an honor.

They welcomed me onto their beautiful farm for an evening session that honestly felt more like a breath of fresh air than anything else. We wandered around their barn, shared laughs with their sweet pup, and captured the gentlest moments between them and their horses. And then, just when I thought the light couldn’t get any better, we ended the evening in their sorghum field, which photographed beautifully. Truthfully I had no idea what sorghum was but let me tell y'all, that field was made for golden hour. WOW at the magic we captured! 

It was a session full of laughter, snuggles, and most importantly family. The love and connection this family shares radiates in every frame, and I left their farm with a full heart, and a camera roll full of extraordinary magic. I’m so grateful our paths crossed in more ways than one, and I hope these images forever remind them of all the love that radiates along them.
