Harris Family Session on UGA’s Historic North Campus

Some families don’t just book a session, they show up year after year, pour their hearts into it, and turn it into a tradition. The Harris family is one of those families. Amber and Blake have been with me since the early days of my photography business. Like we are taking back when it was “C L Photography” and there was no website. This business was just a girl, a camera, and a Facebook page. Having them drive all the way from our hometown to Athens, just to spend the evening with me for their session, meant more than I can fully put into words.

We wandered through UGA’s historic North Campus as the sun dipped low, soaking in the golden light and letting the kids lead the way. I love letting the kiddos take lead because it always makes for the BEST kind of session. Will, Charlotte, and Kohen are each a bright light in their own way. They are all so playful, expressive, and so much fun to photograph. Every year, they bring their unique personalities and even bigger smiles, and I’m just grateful to be the one behind the camera capturing it all. I also can't believe just how much the three of them have grown. 

And as if spending the evening with them wasn’t already enough of a gift, Amber and Blake surprised me with the sweetest baby gift, including a bamboo sleeper for Adeline. I was wrapping up my second trimester at the time, and that little act of kindness meant the world. I'll also note Amber was right and that we’ve been hooked on bamboo pajamas ever since! It’s families like the Harrises who make this work so fulfilling. It's the clients who turn into friends, sessions that feel like reunions, and moments that stick with me long after I pack up my camera. I already can’t wait for next time. Thank you Harris family for letting me capture you all again and again.
