Easton’s Newborn Portraits at home

When we talked about documenting Easton’s newborn season, an in-home session felt like the perfect fit because the beauty of those first days isn’t found in perfection. It is found in the quiet moments, the little routines, and the memories being made within the walls of home. The home where a nursery was thoughtfully curated for months. The room filled with pieces of his parents’ childhoods, sentimental keepsakes, and gifts from grandparents who already love him so deeply. The space where countless memories will be made as Easton grows.

And that is exactly what made this session so special.

We captured the sweet newborn snuggles, the tiny details, the sleepy stretches, and the moments that are so easy to overlook when you are living them day by day. The frequent outfit changes because of spit ups, the every-three-hour feeds, first time parents finding their rhythm, and those quiet moments of simply figuring out life as a family of three.

Because that is what those first days at home truly are; beautiful, messy, exhausting, joyful, sacred, and completely unforgettable.

However, one of my favorite parts of this session was the reminder of just how much life can change in a few short years.I still remember when our friendship with the Weavers looked like coordinating Saturday schedules, gathering together for UGA football games, and making memories in a season before kids were part of the picture. Now, those moments look a little different. Our time together may be less frequent, but it carries so much more meaning with babies on our hips, conversations happening between bedtimes and morning commutes, and friendships growing into a new season of life.

Easton was so truly prayed for and is so incredibly loved. Watching Ashleigh and Michael step into parenthood has been such a beautiful example of God’s goodness. Seeing the way they love him, care for him, and soak in these fleeting newborn moments is something truly special. And even Rocky has already embraced his role in this family with so much sweetness. This little boy has already brought so much joy into the lives of the people around him.

Easton, your story began surrounded by love, prayer, and so many people cheering you on. It was such an honor to document these first days; the real, the tender, and the unforgettable pieces of bringing you home. Welcome home, sweet boy.
