Prestwood Family in Historic Madison,GA

As a photographer, I get the privilege of stepping into so many families’ stories. But every once in a while, a session feels a little closer to home. The Prestwood family’s morning in downtown Madison was one of those sessions. We planned their session around Shepard’s routine, choosing a morning time that would allow him to be comfortable, happy, and fully himself. It ended up being absolutely perfect… the quiet streets of downtown Madison, the beautiful morning light, and the sweetest little personality to capture.

At eight months old, Shepard was in such a special season. He was curious, full of expression, and soaking in everything around him. And those precious blue eyes? They truly made every image even sweeter. This age is such a beautiful reminder of how quickly little ones grow. 

This session also held an extra special place in my heart because Shepard and my own daughter share a birthday month. Getting to see him at the same age as my daughter and watch him flourish in his own unique way was such a beautiful reminder of just how quickly these seasons move. As a mom myself, I know how easy it is to want to hold onto these little moments forever. Documenting the Prestwood family as a family of three was truly such an honor. 

I am so thankful I was able to preserve this chapter, no matter how fleeting it may be.
